Look at "ply" and "sheets per roll": 2-ply with 300 sheets is a good standard. A family of four uses about 8 to 12 toilet rolls a month, so 12-packs are the economical buy. Kitchen towels should be 2-ply and absorbent; garbage bags should be oxo-biodegradable and at least 19 x 21 inches for a kitchen bin. Aluminium foil of 11 microns is the everyday grade for wrapping rotis. Store paper away from damp.
